PGA Professional Golf Instruction for golfers of all ages and abilities.
Mission of the AGA: To offer PGA golf instruction around the region to juniors and ladies by traveling to their home courses and instructing quality, multiple-day golf clinics and lessons in order to ensure new golfers enjoy and understand the game as much as possible.
If you or your child are brand new to golf, or wanting to improve, I encourage you to explore why AGA is the best way to get started. I guarantee you and your child will leave my program understanding how to play the game and how to properly swing every golf club. There is no pressure here, just a fun, laidback learning environment from a quality PGA instructor.
Golf lessons can significantly help a player reach their goals. If you are just starting, Anderson Golf Academy can teach you the fundamentals of the game. If you know the basics but want to improve, we can focus on more advanced techniques a well. Taking golf lessons from a professional instructor with personalized attention and feedback is one of the most effective ways to improve your game. Just like with any skill, there are good habits and bad habits. But, being a new player, it can be very difficult to know if what your working on is right or wrong for you. When you work with an experienced golf instructor on your game, you’ll be taught to differentiate between the two and work towards the all around improvement and enjoyment of your game.
Most clinics don’t have a cap on the amount of students. This makes quality time for one-on-one teaching often difficult and unfulfilling for students. At Anderson Golf Academy, there are only 12 students max per age group. This allows the students to have fun, improve their skills, and come back for more fun instruction. As for Ladies Clinics, my students have told me they enjoy the laid-back environment, making learning more fun and less stressful.

Meet Josh Anderson
I am a Montana golfer. Born and raised in Missoula, I have been involved with the game my entire life. I began playing golf as soon as I was old enough to swing a club. But what really motivated me was when, at 8 years old, I began taking lessons from legendary teaching pro Bob Veroulis, who coached me from my earliest days throughout high school. I credit him with inspiring me to work on my game and enjoy the learning process. Bob’s lessons, coupled with a desire to improve my game, lead me to take a deep dive into swing analysis and what makes the golf ball fly the way it does. Looking back, even as a kid I had a strong feeling I would have a career in golf.
Fifteen years ago, I entered the PGA apprenticeship program and, after years of schooling, landed my first head professional job in 2012 at the world-renowned Wilderness Club in Eureka, MT. Following six years of being the head pro there, Indian Springs GC and Livingston GC, it dawned on me that managing facilities and tending to members’ needs was not nearly as satisfying as teaching the game to students who might otherwise not have the chance to learn from a qualified professional. Although my career has included all aspects of the business of golf, teaching golf is the field I most enjoy.
Two years ago, I left the world of golf course management and began the Anderson Golf Academy. My goal is simple: to bring my passion for the game and my training as a Certified PGA Teaching Professional to the more rural areas of Montana, places where quality instruction is sorely needed. I created a traveling golf school where I can bring my passion and instruction to different rural communities in and around Montana. The emphasis is on introducing golf to Juniors and Ladies who may otherwise lack opportunities to learn. My clinics have always been popular, I know students will enjoy the benefits of getting their game on the right track and having fun while learning.
“In my opinion, there’s no better way to grow the game than reaching as many students as possible by traveling to them and offering Quality PGA instruction.”
